June 4th, Thursday 10-11 am I am hosting a Yoga for Arthritis class to support Minneapolis communities.
This unique gentle yoga class if for everyone, including anyone that suffers from arthritis. Traditional yoga asanas (positions) are adapted using props and chairs to make them accessible to arthritis sufferers. Recent studies have confirmed that yoga can be a useful adjunct in treatment of arthritis.
This is a donation based class. 50% of proceeds will be donated to Reclaim the Block in support of Minneapolis communities. While improving our health I am feeling draw to support communities in Minneapolis. Reclaim the Block began in 2018 and organizes Minneapolis community and city council members to move money from the police department into other areas of the city’s budget that truly promote community health and safety.

For class you will need: Yoga Mat, Blocks, Strap & Chair (or readily available alternatives)
Alka Kaminer, Yoga for Arthritis certified instructor, will lead the class. She will tailor Yoga to your needs, adapting movement, deep relaxation, and meditation practices for the challenges of living with pain, arthritis and related conditions.
